Seth Davis, a Terra Linda High alumnus from the class of 1989, was the captain of the cross country and track teams during his time there. He continued his athletic journey at UC Davis, participating in both collegiate track and cross country.
Passionate about coaching, Seth went on to coach The University of California Berkeley Triathlon team for 15 years, achieving remarkable success. The team won the USA collegiate national championships, secured four men's national championships, one women's national championship, and produced three individual collegiate national champions. Some of the athletes he mentored went on to become professional triathletes, representing the United States in international competitions.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Seth served as the head coach for the Team in Training East Bay triathlon team, associated with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, from 1998 to 2008.
Seth has also achieved personal accomplishments, including being a USA Aquathlon age group national champion, a USA Triathlon – All American. He qualified for the Xterra World Championships and secured victories in the Escape from Alcatraz Aquathlon and the Escape from the Rock Aquathlon. Moreover, he has been honored with induction into the Cal Triathlon Hall of Fame.
Seth holds USA Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaching Certifications.
Outside of sports, Seth met his wife, Jill, in 2000 while running the Bay to Breakers, highlighting the significant role running has played in his life.
